Over the years we have provided exciting classes in coding, garment making, video editing, and more. Outside of the classroom, we grow youth social and problem-solving skills through inspiring recreational activities to include but not limited to skating, nature walks, and engaging professionals while on the job. We are living witnesses that developing skills in both technology and art can provide young people with a wide range of benefits, from increased job prospects to personal growth and creativity.

  1. Future job prospects: In today’s world, many jobs require a combination of technological and creative skills. By developing both skill sets, young people can increase their career options and be better prepared for the jobs of the future.
  2. Innovative problem-solving: The intersection of technology and art can lead to innovative solutions to complex problems. By combining creative thinking with technical skills, young people can develop unique approaches to tackling real-world issues.
  3. Improved communication: Both technology and art skills require effective communication, which is an essential skill in many areas of life. By developing skills in both areas, young people can improve their ability to communicate effectively with different audiences.
  4. Personal growth: Developing skills in technology and art can help young people become well-rounded individuals with a broad range of interests and abilities. This can lead to personal growth and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
  5. Increased creativity: Learning both technology and art skills can help young people develop their creativity in different ways. Technology skills can enable young people to create new tools and systems, while art skills can allow them to express their creativity through various mediums.

Ways We Impact

Minimum of 5 students must be registered before class begins.

Max teacher student ratio of 1:12 to ensure impact and growth.

Facility must purchase robotics equipment and have accessible computers or tablets for students use or incur additional cost for service.

In School Programs

Our in school curriculums, activities, workshops, and off sight adventures exposes students to industry professionals while exploring methods of solving real world issues.

Courses

  • Privates: One on one mentoring and individualized growth program focused in overall conditioning, ballet and or pointe. Additional support, guidance, and encouragement, to include but not limited to meal planning, goal setting, and more to help young people develop important life skills and achieve their full potential. Class times are a minimum of 60 minutes for ballet and 90 minutes for overall conditioning and or pointe.  Student must commit to at least 30 minutes of weekly mentoring outside of class time.
    • Possible Outcomes:Dance reel, performance/choreography, audition preparation, solos, recitals.
  • Daycare: Creative movement or ballet and jazz combo. Ages 2 – 3: This 30 to 45 minute class provides a glimpse into the dance world while providing body awareness skills and basic techniques. Creative expression will be emphasized at this level. Ages 3 – 6: Students receive all the benefits of creative movement with an introductory to classical ballet form characterized by grace and precision of movement and by elaborate formal gestures, steps and poses. Correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body and use of arms will be taught.
    • Expected Outcomes:Performance, recital, choreography, reel, social expression, hand-eye coordination.
  • Out-of-School/Afterschool: Ballet or ballet and jazz combo. Ages 6 – 13: This 60-minute class provides professional classical ballet training in Russian and Cechetti methods. Correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body and use of arms will be taught. For combo class, at least 20 minutes of class time is dedicated to learning fundamental differences between jazz and ballet along with choreography.
    • Expected Outcomes: Performance(s), choreography, reel, flexibility, body positivity, self confidence, solos, recitals.
  • In school: Ballet or Progressive Ballet Technique or Conditioning. Ages 6 – 18: our 13-week curriculum provides the necessary rubrics and outcomes to impact your municipalities educational requirements. Our 60-minute classes provides professional classical ballet training in Russian and Cechetti methods. Correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body and use of arms will be taught. For combo class, at least 20 minutes of class time is dedicated to learning fundamental differences between jazz and ballet along with choreography.
    • Expected Outcomes: Performance(s), choreography, dance reel, career guidance, life lessons, kinesiology, dance history.

Teaching coding to youth is important because it enhances problem-solving and critical thinking skills, encourages creativity and innovation, increases career opportunities, develops persistence and resilience, fosters collaboration and teamwork, and helps students to become informed digital citizens.

 

  • Privates: Do you have a unique project in mind? A one-on-one coding class offers personalized instruction, individual attention, flexible scheduling, customized curriculum, efficient use of time, and confidence-building.
    • Possible outcomes: Web application, MVP
  • Word To Code: 13 week interactive course incorporating HTML, Scratch, and WordPress.  Students learn the fundamentals of website maintenance, web design, storytelling, and basic PHP.
    • Expected outcomes: Personal blog page, reel, certificate of completion.

Our Tech for A Purpose Classes teaches youth how to use Technology and Art in the Real WORLD!

Class Name: “Techtastic™ Designers: Art & Safety Online Adventure!”

Class Description: Welcome to “Techtastic Designers: Art & Safety Online Adventure!” This one-week excerpt of our 8-9 week program is specially designed for youth ages 8-13. Get ready for an exciting journey into the world of technology and creativity! In this class, you’ll discover the magic of graphic design while learning how to be a savvy digital citizen. Unleash your creativity, design amazing artworks, and learn how to navigate the digital world safely. Join us for a week filled with fun and inspiration!

Class Name: Tech and Arts Fusion

Class Description: Tech and Arts Fusion is an eight to nine week STEAM program designed to introduce students to the creative intersection of technology, engineering, yoga, and ballet. Through hands-on activities and projects, students will explore the connections between these disciplines and develop a well-rounded understanding of the possibilities for blending art and technology. In this excerpt, we will provide an introduction to the fusion of technology, engineering, yoga, and ballet. The concepts covered in this one-week class will be further developed and expanded upon in the full 8-9 week afterschool program and summer camp.

Our fun and engaging activities develop social and emotional skills while igniting a love of STEM. Our hands on project based classes allow students to grow their inner engineer and improve their problem solving skills.

 

  • MakeyMakey With Me: Ages 4+. In this class, students will learn the basics of circuitry and programming by using Sketch by MIT and makeymakey.com. Through hands-on activities and projects, students will explore the world of electronics and technology, develop problem-solving skills, and foster creativity.
    • Facility must purchase kit for school.  Kits are sold in sets of 12 or individually.  
    • Each class needs access to at least two internet enabled tablets and or laptops per 5 students.
    • First Evolution Arts has laptops, internet hotspot, and cords for use for a maximum of 20 students at an additional cost.

Encouraging sustainability and reducing waste, our garment making classes provides life skills while inspiring creativity and self expression.

Ages 6+

  • Privates: one-on-one setting, the teacher can work with the student to choose a project that is tailored to their interests and skill level. Student must have own machine, notions, and material(s).
  • 13 week Sessions for in school and after school service times.  School or facility must have at least three sewing machines for every 5 students.
  • Summer camps (minimum of 2 weeks). School or facility must have at least three sewing machines for every 5 students.
